Letter
from our Executive Director
Dear
Sponsors,
Nepal has started recovering from the wounds of conflict. As you are
aware, a good portion of Nepali children are deprived of school education.
The just over conflict has left many additional children fatherless/motherless,
and some of them have dropped schooling as their guardians can't afford
the cost of schooling thus they are wandering out of school.
Even though government claims to have made school education (upto class
10) free of cost, schools are allowed to raise money in the name of
maintenance and exam fees. The officially acknowledged statistics says
that 31% of Nepali population is below the poverty line. These families
have difficulties to educate their children.
SSCT is committed to reach to these children, who have lost their parents
during the armed struggle or whose parents are struggling with hand
to mouth problem. We believe that these children also have right to
services -education, and we are duty-bearers to make that possible.
We request you to be a part of this noble mission. We can assure you
that your contribution will bring a difference in the society and your
investment will be well utilized.
Thanking you in advance for your kind cooperation.
I remain,
Faithful to the mission,
Krishna Prasad Neupane
Executive Director
